The locomotive's whistle. The hiss of steam. Three horseback bandits closing in from the desert. Train Shooting turns every level into a small Western set piece, and the seven-step routine below helps any newcomer survive the harshest carriages of the late campaign.
How to Defend a Train in 5 Steps
Each Train Shooting level scrolls automatically through a desert canyon. Bandits attack from both sides; some leap onto the train, others fire from the rocks. Knowing where to look first matters more than aim speed.
Step 1 — Clear the Roof Before the Sides
Bandits on the roof do double damage. Always sweep the roof first; side enemies cannot reach the carriage interior as quickly.
Step 2 — Watch the Horizon Indicators
Train Shooting flashes red glow on the horizon two seconds before a wave appears. Pre-aim toward the glow to land the first shot of the wave.
Step 3 — Reload Inside Tunnels
Tunnels block enemy fire entirely. Use them to reload, swap weapons, and breathe.
Step 4 — Keep One Bullet in the Chamber
The grenade-thrower bandits arrive in pairs. A single bullet kept in reserve handles the second one without forcing a panic reload.
Step 5 — Save the Sniper for Boss Carriages
The sniper rifle has limited ammo per level. Mid-stage bosses (mounted gunners) deserve every bullet.
Train Shooting Controls

- Spacebar: Trigger slow-motion focus.
Pro Tips for Higher Score Streaks
Three habits separate the top scorers. They prioritise grenade-thrower bandits over horseback ones because explosions destroy parts of your own train, costing carriage-health bonuses. They reserve dynamite for clusters of three or more enemies. And they always pre-aim toward the rear of the train when a tunnel ends, because rear-spawning bandits sneak up first in late levels.
The rhythm and pacing borrow gently from classic rail shooter arcade titles, which is why veterans of light-gun games adapt almost instantly.
